I’m excited to share that the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC) is hosting its annual Virtual Event next week—and I’ll be attending and participating!

October 27: Opening Ceremonies & Pre-Conference Celebration (I’ll Be There! Will You?)

The festivities start on October 27 with the Opening Ceremonies and Pre-Conference Celebration. This event is totally free and open to everyone—whether you’re a member, a non-member, a longtime AAC champion, or just curious about AAC. All you need to do is register in advance.

At the Opening Ceremony, you’ll hear inspiring words from ISAAC President Yonit Hagoel-Karnieli and keynote speaker Alyssa Zisk, both deeply respected voices in the AAC space. There’ll be opportunities to connect, celebrate, and even win some fun prizes! I’ll be there for the kickoff and would love to see some familiar names (and new friends!) in the chat.

October 28-29: Conference – Over 100 Sessions, and I’m Participating!

The full conference runs October 28–29, with over 100 live and recorded sessions on everything from the latest communication tools to advocacy to inclusive classroom strategies and so much more. I’m thrilled to be involved—attending presentations, taking part in conversations, and connecting with others passionate about AAC.

Whether you’re tuning in for hands-on workshops, panel discussions, or simply hanging out in the virtual lounges, this event is for you. I find these conferences are about so much more than just learning—they’re about building community, sharing stories, and cheering each other on as we work for better communication and access for all.
