How I Changed My Outlook on Life
For years, my world felt small. As a 28-year-old woman living with quadriplegia and a tracheostomy, outcomes of a childhood brain tumor surgery. I spent endless days rooted in place, sedentary and often overwhelmed by the weight of inactivity. I watched opportunities drift by, convinced that joy and movement were out of reach for someone with my circumstances.
But something inside me refused to settle for that life. I decided it was time to change not just my daily routine, but my entire perspective. I wanted to pursue happiness, strength, and possibility, whatever form they might take.
The Turning Point: Getting the EvolutionVN
Everything shifted thanks to the generosity and support of the IM ABLE Foundation and StillStanding Foundation. Together, they helped me acquire a remarkable piece of adaptive exercise equipment: the EvolutionVN.

With Amy’s help, I started moving muscles that I hadn’t used in years. The sense of accomplishment and empowerment after every workout is honestly hard to describe.
After each session, I’m left not just physically stronger but more hopeful and fulfilled. Exercise, once impossible to imagine, is now something I genuinely look forward to.
