What an incredible day it was yesterday, June 11th! I had an awesome walking session with the Atalante X exoskeleton1. Every time I step into this innovative piece of technology, I’m amazed at what’s possible, and yesterday was no exception.
In just 39 minutes, I managed to walk over 1629 steps2! It wasn’t just about the distance, though. We focused on a variety of movements, including walking forward, backward, and even sideways3. To truly make it an “action-packed” session, we also incorporated some squats. By the end, I was working hard and pushing my limits, which is always a great feeling.
In short, this was a great session, as usual. But beyond the impressive step count and varied movements, there’s a crucial element to my success that I must highlight: my fantastic and hardworking physical therapist. Without him, my progress wouldn’t be possible. He has an incredible knack for knowing exactly how to encourage and motivate me, even when things get tough. We truly make such a great team, and I love how in sync we are throughout every session10.
This journey of rehabilitation and recovery is a marathon, not a sprint, and having such dedicated support makes all the difference. Celebrating these milestones, both big and small, is crucial for maintaining motivation and acknowledging how far I’ve come.
Stay tuned for more updates on my exoskeleton adventures!
