I am incredibly honored and excited to announce that I have been selected to present at the Australian Assistive Technology Conference hosted by ARATA! This conference which will take place on November 6th-8th is a major event for anyone who is passionate about Assistive Technology (AT) and Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC), and I’m thrilled to be a part of it. More information is available in this abstract.
My session, ” Voiceitt—from a user’s perspective,” will delve into my personal experiences using Voiceitt, a revolutionary speech recognition software designed for individuals with non-standard speech. Voiceitt has truly been a life-changing tool for me, and I’m eager to share how it has impacted my communications and daily life.
This presentation is a fantastic opportunity for me to share my journey and insights with a wider audience. As an assistive technology and AAC user, I believe my perspective can offer valuable insights to other users, professionals, and advocates working tirelessly to improve accessibility for all. I’m particularly excited to connect with fellow users and AT specialists and hear their stories, learn from their experiences, and build relationships within this vibrant community.
I believe that by sharing my experiences, insights, and knowledge, I can collectively contribute to creating a more inclusive, understanding, and accessible world for everyone. I’m confident that the Australian Assistive Technology Conference will be a valuable platform for exchanging ideas, fostering collaboration, and advocating for the power of assistive technology and AAC.
I am truly looking forward to this incredible experience and the opportunity to connect with others who share my passion for AAC and assistive technology. I am eager to learn from others, engage in meaningful discussions, and contribute to the ongoing conversation about how we can leverage technology to empower individuals with disabilities.
I will share a link to the session recording, as it will be difficult to attend due to the time change.
