I partner with product teams, writers, educators, individuals, families, and caregivers to solve real-world accessibility challenges.
After becoming quadriplegic at age 10, I learned firsthand how the right digital tools can foster independence and dignity and enhance quality of life. Today, I combine lived experience with professional training to help teams create digital spaces where everyone can thrive.
Together, we look at what’s helping, what’s getting in the way, and how we can improve and build solutions that support access, communication, and autonomy.
As Knowbility’s usability testing program manager, Esther has been a huge help to our program. She has worked with Knowbility to help many of our clients improve the usability of their website for people with disabilities. Esther’s attention to detail and skill in accurately describing usability issues and potential fixes has been invaluable in helping clients foster a more holistic view of accessibility and usability. Esther has also conducted a presentation for one of Knowbility’s clients to provide their workforce with an introduction to accessibility. Knowbility is grateful to have worked with Esther for many years now in our continued relationship.

Resources that make quadriplegic life easier
A starting point for support, technology, and community after spinal cord injury.
These are resources that have helped me and many others living with quadriplegia. I hope they make your path a little easier.
Assistive Technology (AT), Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools
The day I first tried the Atalante X exoskeleton, my world changed. This is the story of how cutting-edge technology isn’t just changing mobility – it’s transforming my entire life.
Join me as I share my journey, from my first tentative steps to the small victories and breakthrough moments that make each day remarkable.
Why I named my site “Esther’s Walking Journey”
Walking, through advanced mobility tech like Wandercraft’s Atalante X exoskeleton, represents both my literal and symbolic journey: regaining movement, gaining a new lease on life, and courageously finding my voice to share my life here, and help others.
Stories from the front lines of accessibility and tech
What it’s really like to live, work, and build with disability and technology.
My writings bring together personal stories, accessibility insights, assistive tech experiences, event highlights, and practical tips for anyone who wants to build more inclusive technology or better understand disability in real life. I work to keep it honest and useful.
From writing and usability testing to speaking and mentorship—let’s collaborate!
Because I use assistive tech every day, I can help you understand accessibility in real life. Contact me with your requirements and budget and I’d be happy to provide you with a zero-obligation quote.
